Video: Video Central Support — Q4 2018 updates

Recently, Prime Video made several updates to the Video Central Support site to simplify and improve the content partner experience.

  • We’ve added localized content for Spanish, French, Italian, German, Japanese, and Brazilian Portuguese.
  • We’ve also updated our UHD title metadata requirements in US, UK, DE, and JP. It involves a new naming convention for 4K UHD title metadata that will help our customers easily find this content.
  • We've clarified in our MEC field list that at least one instance of ReleaseHistory is required for each title metadata submission where ReleaseType must be Original. This is in line with the MovieLabs spec.
  • After diving deep into some processing and encoding data, we've updated our UHD & HDR SLAs. This is due to longer processing and encoding times for these formats.
  • Finally, we’ve added a section on foreign language content onboarding. This is content that is intended for customers that don't speak the primary language of any given territory (i.e. Spanish content in the US).

Video: Video Central Support — Q3 2018 updates

Recently, Prime Video made several changes to our specs and standards to simplify and improve the content partner experience.

  • We've added support for EMA Avails v1.7.2 and v1.7.3.
  • We've added a new Content Rights section that makes it easier to understand Prime Video requirements regarding content rights associated to delivered video content. Prime Video no longer supports communication of content rights via metadata. All content submissions must have associated content rights delivered via approved EMA avails. For current requirements, see Content Rights.
  • There are new field lists for EMA Avails, MMC, MEC, Amazon XML, and Amazon XLS specs. These define each field and indicate whether each field is required, optional, or not used by Prime Video. These should help in the delivery process.
